Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa expressed in a press statement Sunday his hope that the Palestinian dialogue is launched immediately to enable the Palestinian people to face the difficult challenges posed by the next stage in light of the lack of required progress in the course of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.

Moussa praised the efforts made by Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh that led to the signing of this agreement, pointing out that the follow-up to this issue would be among the key issues to be discussed at the Arab Summit to be hosted by Damascus next week.

Fatah and Hamas signed earlier Sunday in the Yemeni capital Sanaa an agreement for dialogue which is a framework for the resumption of dialogue between the two sides, expected early April.
