A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the association executive here. Association chief Neera Yadav was replaced by V.K. Malhotra, chairman State Board of Revenue.

Earlier Yadav, who was subject of a Central Bureau Investigation probe on corruption charges, was removed from the chief secretary’s post on the orders of the Supreme Court.

Even as she was posted to an innocuous job, she managed to ride on to the position of president of the elite service association.

Chandra Bhanu, the district magistrate of Lucknow, replaced IAS Association secretary Sanjay Bhoosreddy, who was supporting Yadav.
