Moscow : Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and George W.Bush respectively, will meet on April 6 in southern Sochi beach resort to analyze a broad spectrum of bilateral issues, a Kremlin source reported on Thursday.
The Bush visit answers an invitation by Putin to retackle the problems about siting the Anti-Missile Defense Shield in Europe, besides other aspects of the Russian-US relations.
Presidential assistant Serguei Prijodko said, without giving further details, that both heads of State will analyze, not only the AMD, but also other problems in the bilateral agenda.
The most recent negotiation round between Moscow and Washington in the format 2+2, with foreign and defense ministers, held on March 18 in this capital, concluded without the announced commitment to a supposed collaboration in anti-missile defense.
Russian Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov said that although there has been progress in the talks with the United States, they are not related to the AMD, the plan of which is considered a threat to Russian security.
A new negotiation round began on Wednesday at the level of experts, with Foreign Vice minister Serguei Kisliak as head of the Russian delegation.
