Gaza : Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian teenager in northern Gaza Strip overnight, Palestinian medical sources said on Saturday.
Mu’awia Hassanein, a senior emergency official at the health ministry, said the ambulance crews found a dead body near a former Israeli settlement close to the border in Beit Lahiya town in northern Gaza.
He added that the body of 18-year-old Tamer Dawass was hardly recognized due to the numerous gunshots he received.
The paramedics have taken the body to Kamal Adwan hospital in Jabaliya refugee camp, according to Hassanein.
When it withdrew from Gaza Strip in 2005, Israel created a buffer zone of nearly 800 meters in northern Gaza Strip, preventing any human being, including farmers and shepherds, from getting into the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces limitedly rolled into the eastern parts of southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.
During the invasion, Israeli forces arrested a number of Palestinian residents and opened fire, which led to injury of a 23-year-old farmer, witnesses and security sources said.
