Chennai : The country’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Ltd Thursday announced a cumulative sales growth of 47.8 percent for April 2008.
The company’s total sales for April stood at 40,001 units (domestic 21,501, exports 18,500) against 27,069 units (domestic 15,728, exports 11,341) of the previous month.
Arvind Saxena, senior vice-president for marketing and sales, said: “We feel that the union budget has been a contributory factor. The i10 too has done exceedingly well to establish itself as a major player in this segment with domestic sales alone accounting for over 50,000 units in just six months.”
