Iraq accuses Al-Qaeda over recently discovered mass graves

Baghdad : Spokesman of the Iraqi Government Dr. Ali Al-Dabbagh Thursday stated that the findings of the committee looking into the recently discovered mass-graves proved involvement of Al-Qaeda and other organized crime rings in the massacres.

Al-Dabbagh noted it appears that the victims, 60 people, were not targeted over sectarian affiliation.

The Iraqi authorities and US forces had in April unearthed some 60 bodies in two mass-graves in Al-Mahmoudiyah, southern Baghdad, which was one of the cities in what was known as the triangle of death.
