Abu Dhabi : Military forces from the US and four Gulf countries have concluded a joint exercise that started April 20, WAM news agency reported Thursday.
The armies of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar participated in the two-week exercise called Hasm Al-Oqban 2008, while Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Jordan participated as observers.
The exercise was aimed at bolstering cooperation and coordination between the participating militaries as well as furthering mutual understanding on training and collective crisis management.
