Kuwait : Sixteen more candidates running in the upcoming parliamentary polls have dropped out of the race, bringing the total number of running candidates to 300 out of the original number of 380.
According to the Interior Ministry’s Department of Elections’ Affairs, the first constituency lost Abdulrahman Al-Sharrah and Hisham Al-Siddiqi, while Farraj Al-Mutairi withdrew from the second constituency.
In the third constituency the withdrawing candidates were Adnan Al-Shatti and Mohammad Al-Barrak.
As for the fourth constituency, it lost Hussein Al-Adwani, Saleh Al-Mutairi, Abdullah Al-Shemmiri, Omar Al-Risheedi, Fahad Al-Thifeeri, Mohammad Al-Enizi, Mutar Al-Shemmiri and Nawaf Al-Mutairi.
And in the fifth constituency there were three withdrawals: Basheer Ajjab, Fawaz Al-Badi Al-Enizi and Qlaifis Al-Akshani.
Tomorrow is the deadline for withdrawal of candidates from the May 17 elections.
