Yemen, Syria sign 14 documents

Sana’a : Yemen and Syria have signed 14 documents at the conclusion of the eighth round of the Yemeni-Syrian Joint Supreme Committee (YSJSC) here.

The documents include executive programs, treaties, memos of understanding and cooperation protocols in fields of electricity, telecommunication, fishery wealth, media, culture, youth, social insurances, industrial ownership, goods exchange, ports, refineries, water and sanitation, irrigation and private sector.

Prime Minster Ali Mujawar and his Syrian counterpart, Muhammad Al-Otri, who are also the heads of the two parties in the YSJSC, signed the meetings’ minute of the round while the other 14 documents have been signed by relevant officials from the two countries.

The final session of the committees, which was co-chaired by the two prime ministers, asserted the importance of holding meetings of the follow-up committees in Yemen and Syria in a period ranging from three to six months in Sana’a and Damascus.

The session also asserted on including Yemen in the Syrian-Jordan Marine Police for serving trade agreement between Yemen and Syria.

The two prime ministers affirmed their support to promote the vital role of the private sector for improving size of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Otri highlighted the achievements Yemen has realised in the field of construction, thanking Yemen for the hospitality accorded to him and the delegation.
