Kuwait : The 10 winners of the 4th constituency of the 2008 parliamentary elections were officially announced Sunday morning.
The winners are Musallam Al-Barrak who gained 14,043 votes. Al-Barrak was born in 1956 and holds a degree in geography. He held several food health and municipal positions, and was elected parliament member in 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2006.
Ali Salem Al-Diqbasi won 12,548 votes. The winner was born in 1965 and holds a diploma in management. He was elected a member of the parliament in 2003 and 2006.
Mohammad Hayif Al-Mutairi, who garnered 12,106 votes, was born in 1964 and holds a bachelors degree in Islamic studies. He is employed at Kuwait Municipality.
Daifallah Buramya, who came fourth with 11,482 votes, was born in 1957 and holds a masters degree in public health, and was in several positions in different hospitals. He was elected a member of the National Assembly in 2003 and 2006.
Saad Ali Al-Risheedi, with 10,567 votes, was born in 1965 and holds a high school degree. He is an employee of the Interior Ministry.
Nasser Al-Duwaila, who won 10,488 votes, was born in 1956 and holds a masters degree in military sciences and a degree in law and Sharia (Islamic law). He worked as a lawyer and commander of the tanks regiment of the Kuwaiti Army.
Mohammad Sulaiman Al-Risheedi gained 9,765 votes. Born in 1964, Al-Risheedi holds a PhD in law. He is a faculty member of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
Rija Hujailan Al-Mutairi, who came eighth with 9,474 votes, was born in 1941 and holds a masters degree in management from the US and a bachelors in management from Egypt. He held the position of director of development at the Ministry of Education.
Hussein Quwaian Al-Mutairi, winning 8,394 votes, was born in 1968 and holds a bachelors degree in medicine and is a surgeon.
Mubarak Al-Waalan Al-Mutairi, with 8,340 votes, was born in 1959 and holds a bachelors degree in political sciences from Kuwait University. He was a diplomat and is currently director of public relations at the Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation of Damages Caused by the Iraqi Invasion.
