Kuwait : Justice Ali Al-Mutairat, Chairman of the Central Committee of the 5th constituency, announced Sunday morning the 10 winners of the parliamentary elections for the 12th legislative term 2008.
Jaber Al-Azmi, with 15,118 votes, was born in 1970 and holds a bachelors degree in Islamic Sharia. He heads a department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. He was elected MP in 2006.
Marzouq Al-Hubaini Al-Azmi, who gained 14,864 votes, was born in 1952 and holds a bachelors degree in administration. He was a member of the National Council in 1990 and elected a National Assembly member in 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2006.
Mohammad Faleh Al-Ajmi, in the third place with 14,546 votes, was born in 1955 and holds a masters degree in business. He worked both as safety department director and director of Doha Port, as well as being a board chairman and member of a number of international maritime companies.
Abdullah Ra’e Al-Fahma, with 14,472 votes, was born in 1958 and holds a high school degree.
He was a board member of the Public Institution for Social Security and the Higher Labor Committee, as well as the Arab and Asian representative to the International Labor Organization’s financial committee. The winner was elected a member of the National Assembly in 2003 and 2006.
Fahad Duhaisan Al-Lmai’e, in fifth place with 14,087 votes, was born in 1954 and held a number of positions at the Interior Ministry. He was elected MP in 1999 and was appointed Ministry of Public Works and State Minister for Housing in 2001.
Mohammad Hadi Al-Huwaila, who won 13,271 votes, was born in 1971 and holds a PhD in management from Yarmouk University in Jordan. He is a faculty member in Saad Al-Abdullah Security Sciences College and the Arab Open University.
In seventh place was Abdullah Al-Barghash with 13,135 votes. Born in 1962, Al-Barghash holds a diploma in customs affairs. He worked at the Ministry of Awqaf, Ministry of Education, and the Customs Department.
Essam Al-Dabous, at eighth place with 10,719 votes, was born in 1962 and holds a bachelors degree in arts. He previously held the position of deputy assistant director for supervision at Kuwait Municipality in Mubarak Al-Kabeer. He was elected MP in 2003.
Ali Humoud Al-Hajri, garnering 10,587 votes, was born in 1962 and holds a degree in literature. He is assistant director of inspection at Kuwait Municipality. He was elected MP in 2003.
Abdullah Mahdi Al-Ajmi, with 10,285 votes, was born in 1963 and holds a bachelors degree in police sciences. He heads the technical inspection department of the General Traffic Department. He was elected MP in 2006.
