Dhaka : Literary figures and writers observed the birth centenary of litterateur Manik Bandyopadhyay (1908-1956) by discussing his works and staging an adaptation of his popular short story “Pragoitihashik”.
Bangladeshi critic and litterateur Abdus Shakur was the chief guest.
Among others, Bandyopadhyay’s youngest son Shukanto Bandyopadhyay and cultural personality Jotin Sarkar spoke on his bohemian writing style and his ideology, The Daily Star said Sunday.
