Johannesburg : The general secretary of the National African Congress (ANC) ruling party Gwede Mantashe called the army to contain the xenophobic wave of violence established in the country.
Mantashe assured that if riots against migrants continue in Gauteng province it could be extended to all over the nation.
A partial balance reported about 20 people died and hundreds have been wounded most of them Mozambique or Zimbabwe subjects.
Most of the migrants’ shops are closed or not fearing the mob that has taken the law into their own hands.
The population called foreigners responsible for unemployment, increase of crimes and other evils.
The spokesman from Zimbabwe parties’ coalition Nixon Nyikdazino demanded the South African government for an immediate respond to unemployment and shortage of food derived from national problems and not migration.
Nyikdazino said: there is not difference between one South African and One Zimbabwe citizen or another one from Mozambique they are all Africans, he added.
