Fresh fighting kills 25 Tamil rebels in Sri Lanka

Colombo, Sri Lanka : Government forces and Tamil separatists fought separate battles across northern Sri Lanka, leaving 25 rebels dead, the military said Wednesday.

The latest round of fighting took place throughout Tuesday in the Welioya, Vavuniya and Mannar areas, the Associated Press reported.
