Kabul : Six militants were detained during a joint Afghan and Coalition forces operation in Khost province of eastern Afghanistan, the U.S.-led Coalition said Wednesday in a statement.
The arrests were made as Afghan National Security and Coalition forces searched several compounds in Sabari district targeting a suspected Taliban militant on May 20, it said.
The U.S.-led military said several weapons and explosives were discovered in the operation.
The U.S. is leading a 20,000-strong multi-national force in Afghanistan, the majority of which is deployed in restive eastern and southern regions with security mission.
