Kathmandu : Senior Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) leader Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal Saturday said the new government led by CPN-M would be formed on May 29, a day after demolishing the monarchy by the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly on May 28.
Speaking at an interaction at Reporters’ Club in Kathmandu, Badal said the CPN-Maoist chairman would become the Prime Minister with rights of the head of state.
Badal said the King would be treated like a criminal if he did not immediately vacate the Narayanhity palace.
Badal also said the CPN-Maoist were not in favor of amendment to interim statute.
He added that the integration of CPN-M’s People ‘s Liberation Army with Nepali Army would be carried out by forming a special committee.
