Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Sunday congratulated the Lebanese nation and their leaders on recent agreement between the country’s political leaders in Doha.
Upon his arrival in Lebanon, he said restoration of stability and tranquility in Lebanon is considered as stability and tranquility of the entire region.
Iranian foreign minister arrived in Beirut on Sunday to attend the parliamentary ceremony of electing 12th president of Lebanon.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh along with a number of Lebanese officials welcomed Mottaki at the airport.
The Islamic Republic of Iran spares no efforts to help materialize the goal, Mottaki said.
Qatari Emir, Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Mousa, representatives of the European Union and a number of officials and political figures of other countries will participate in the ceremony of electing Michel Suleiman as the new president of Lebanon.
