Tehran : Brigadier General of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corp (IRGC) Mohammad-Ali Ja’fari said hare Sunday that the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran has led vigilance and solidarity among Muslims, foiling enemies’ plots in the region.
Making the remark in a meeting with Syrian Defense Minister Hassan Turkmani, Ja’fari added that the sympathy, Islamic unity and vigilance in the Middle East has foiled many conspiracies of the enemies such as the US and the Zionist regime.
The unity between Iran and Syria have been highlighted in the current situation in the wake of bilateral efforts aimed at expanding the spirit of cooperation and solidarity, Ja’fari added.
Pointing to the defeat of conspiracies of the US and the Zionist regime in the region, he noted that the big strategy of the fake regime was that it was to extend occupied territories and dominate another country such as Lebanon, but the regime has difficulties in making Zionist-settlements secure.
The commander further said that international relations stress on material, military and physical power, but the experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran and triumphs by Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian people proved that spiritual might has more power.
He also referred to the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran under the leadership of the late Imam Khomeini, which demolished power balance in the Middle East to benefit regional nations and Islamic countries.
Turkmani, for his part, said that Iran has high technological, scientific, military and spiritual capabilities, and hoped that the meeting will help develop mutual cooperation in different fields.
Noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a strategic ally for Syria, he added, “We have repeatedly announced the important fact and the enemies are frightened of this.”
