Kabul : One soldier serving the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) died of wounds and two soldiers were injured following Sunday’s explosion in southern Afghanistan, the military alliance said Monday.
Without saying when and where the blast occurred exactly, the ISAF did not release their nationalities either, quoting a policy.
Bombing attacks are on the rise in Afghanistan, where militancy-related conflicts and violence left 8,000 dead last year.
Currently an around 47,000 international troops under the flag of NATO-led ISAF are deployed in Afghanistan and they along with the 20,000-strong U.S.-led Coalition forces are usually targeted in militant attacks across Afghanistan.
