Speaking at a news conference, Hosseini said Iran has conducted “very constructive” cooperation with the IAEA, according to state news agency IRNA.

Hosseini said Iran’s own package of proposals to the world, the detail of which has yet to be announced by Tehran, indicates the determination of the Iranian leaders to remove any probable misunderstanding on the country’s peaceful nuclear program.

“Tehran expects the European states, particularly the friendly countries such as Italy, to show logical reaction towards Iran’s positive measures and help resolve Iran’s problem as well as return of the issue from the UN Security Council to the IAEA,” said Hosseini.

Italian foreign minister recently called for imposing sanctions on Iran by all European countries.

The United States and its Western allies have accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. Iran has denied the charges and insisted that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.

The UN Security Council has imposed three sanctions against Tehran’s nuclear program since December 2006.
