But the TV channel did not elaborate on whether Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari would bring the proposed constitutional amendment to the parliament session.

Earlier, local media quoted Zardari as saying that there was possibility of presenting the constitutional package in the National Assembly before the annual budget session, and holding debate on it after the budget session.

Zardari, widower of former prime minister and PPP leader Benazir Bhutto, unveiled 62-point constitutional amendment on Saturday that would reduce Musharraf’s powers.

The PPP emerged as the largest party in the National Assembly in Feb. 18 general elections and is leading Pakistan’s ruling coalition.
