Hyderabad : Deccan Chargers, after going down to Chennai Super Kings here Tuesday, became the only team to lose all their home matches in the Indian Premier League.
Deccan Chargers is the first team to lose seven games in a row between May 9 and May 27. They have lost 12 games – the most by any team in the IPL.
Other statistical highlights of the match:
# Suresh Raina’s superb unbeaten 54 off 43 balls is his highest score in the IPL – his second 50 in the tournament. Raina’s 323 runs in IPL came at an average of 32.30
# Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with 385 runs at an average of 38.50, is the leading run-getter for his team.
# Chennai Super Kings have won eight and lost six IPL matches, earning a place in the semi-finals.
# Adam Gilchrist, with 436 runs at an average of 33.53 in 14 games, including one century and three fifties is the leading run-getter for Deccan Chargers.
# Shahid Afridi recorded another failure in the IPL, making only 81 runs in ten matches at an average of 10.12.
# Ravi Teja registered his best score in the competition – 40 off 28 balls.
# Teja and Venugopal Rao made 76 runs for the fourth wicket – the second best partnership for this wicket for Deccan Chargers, next only to the 111 between Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma against Rajasthan Royals at Hyderabad on April 24.
# Raina, with Shahid Afridi’s catch, took his tally to eighth in the tournament, equalling Rohit Sharma’s most catches in the IPL.
# Manpreet Gony, with 14 wickets at 28.50 runs apiece, is the leading wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings.
