Amman : Jordan will name its new ambassador to Iraq in the upcoming days, according to a press release on Friday by Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication Nasser Judeh.
The minister stated that the government would designate the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Iraq in the upcoming days to head the Jordanian diplomatic mission in Baghdad.
This decision, Judeh said, comes in the framework of the existing fraternal relations between Jordan and Iraq.
He added Jordan is looking forward to activating the cooperation between the two brotherly countries at all levels, particularly the economic ties.
Jordan, the Minister reiterated, also looks forward to the upcoming visit by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, which comes upon an invitation extended to him by Prime Minister Nader Thahabi which will form an important station in strengthening the historical relations between the two countries.
