Nairobi : Somali pirates have hijacked two more ships in the Gulf of Aden, a Kenyan maritime official said.
Andrew Mwangura of the East Africa Seafarers Assistance Programme told Xinhua late Thursday that the ships were hijacked Wednesday from the same area where a Dutch-owned vessel was taken over by pirates Monday.
“The vessels were hijacked Wednesday from the same area where the Dutch-owned vessel was taken over Monday. We have not received any information about the crewmembers and their nationalities,” Mwangura said by telephone.
