New Delhi : A two-and-half years old boy was killed after a speeding truck allegedly hit him in northeast of the national capital, the police said.
The victim, Napul, was with his parents and an elder brother on a motorbike when the truck hit them near Khajoori Khas, Delhi Police said.
Napul died on the spot while his father, mother and the three-and-half years old elder brother were wounded, the police said. The injured were discharged from a hospital after a first aid.
The police have arrested the truck’s driver Hemraj and impounded his vehicle.
In another accident, 22-year-old Radhey Shyam was crushed to death when he came under the wheels of a Blueline bus operating on route number 254 between Baburpur and Nangloi on Wazirabad Road in northeast Delhi Sunday, the police said.
Shyam, a resident of Osmanpur, died on the spot, the police added.
“We have impounded the bus and a search is on to nab the driver. The family of the victim has been informed,” said a police officer.
More than 70 people have been killed this year under the wheels of Blueline buses. Last year, at least 120 people were run over by Blueline buses.
