Suspected U.S missile strike kills 6 near Pakistan’s tribal region: TV

Islamabad : A suspected U.S missile strike killed at least four people near Pakistani tribal region on Wednesday, local TV channels reported.

TV channels said that attack in Janikhel area near North Waziristan, also killed several foreigners.

Officials confirmed the attack but did not say about casualties.

TV channels reported that two missiles hit a house of local man identified as Dilbar and killed six people including two foreigners.

According to reports those died were militants from Turkmenistan.

There was no official confirmation about the nationality of the victims.

TV channels said that five other people were injured who were taken to hospital in Bannu, a major city in the region.

District Police Officer, Bannau, Alam Shinwari said that investigations into the attack are underway.
