In his complaint, the information officer, Mukesh Sharda, has alleged that Rajiv Dixit, who is posted in a similar capacity at the chief minister’s secretariat in Lucknow, had threatened him Saturday.

In his complaint to the senior officials of the department and the local authorities, Sharda said he had received a number of calls Saturday from Dixit who threatened to ruin his career and even to kill him.

A copy of the three page complaint was also given to media persons in Barabanki, 28 km from Lucknow.

However, Sharda, who was earlier posted at the information directorate and was recently transferred to Barabanki, did not mention why Dixit had threatened him.

Meanwhile, officials of the information directorate termed the entire dispute, “a personal issue”.

“Both the officials are of the same batch and are having a dispute over postings since long”, said an official of the department, who did not want to be named.
