A senior PCB official said Wednesday it was premature for the board to comment on the development, as the board is yet to hear anything officially from the Indian cricket board.

PCB chairman Ijaz Butt is planning to travel to India to allay India’s fears about traveling to Pakistan. Pakistan is eager to host India for the six-week series after failing to play a single Test this year.

Australia refused to travel to Pakistan early this year for a full series while the International Cricket Council (ICC) postponed the Champions Trophy after five of the eight competing teams refused to visit Pakistan, citing security worries.
