Geneva : He pointed out that the spread of education among all members of the society has been a prime target for several international organizations, notably UNESCO.
Prince Dr Khalid said the UNESCO and other concerned UN organizations as well as several regional and international organizations have been shouldering their responsibilities as regards assisting the countries to realize the goals of education through providing the developing countries with scientific and technical expertise.
Prince Dr Khalid pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently announced allocation of $500 million as development loans for boosting education projects in the developing countries through the Saudi Fund for Development.
This comes in line with the great attention being given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to spread education in the developing countries, he added.
