The rocket will be launched from Plesetsk, in the Russian Federation’s northern area, during the maneuvers from October 8-12, under command of the Strategic Rocket Forces (RSVN) Chief Nikolai Solotov, the command’s press service reported.

Colonel General Solotov will mobilize about 3,000 troops and 250 weapons, the source said.

In Stability-2008, the RSVN will check coordination between commands and quality of military training of the forces, said the text published by the media.

Topol-M was designed by Moscow Thermotechnical Institute to site them in land silos or mobile platforms, supplied with solid fuel.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has repeatedly explained that this armament could not be neutralized by any antimissile defense of today’s world, because its atomic head is a multiple re-input carrier.

The fact of using solid fuel allow them to keep on lengthy alert and fire them in minutes, making it a good means to give immediate response to any atomic attack, military sources asserted.
