U.S. military vehicle crashes with civilian car injuring 4 in Afghan capital

Kabul : Four civilians were injured while two of them in critical condition as one U.S. military vehicle hit a civilian car in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday.

“It occurred in the rush hour in the morning when a U.S. bullet-proof vehicle possibly from the Special Force hit a civilian car in Bagh-e-Bala area wounding four on board and two of them were inserious condition,” Xinhua’s reporter said after visiting the site.

Eye witnesses at the site, he added, blamed the reckless driving of the soldiers for the incident.

Police at the site, in talks with Xinhua’s reporter, blamed the U.S. vehicle’s driver for the mess adding the wounded had been taken to hospital.

Neither Afghan officials nor U.S. military were immediately available for comment.

U.S. military vehicles had accident with civilians in Afghan capital in 2005, triggering a violent demonstration during which several public and private properties were damaged.
