Dhaka, Bangladesh : Bangladesh President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed has extended his greetings to the members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Durga Puja, their greatest religious festival.
In a message here on Wednesday, the President said, Durga Puja is an inseparable part of the traditional culture of Bengal, which is being held in the country with huge enthusiasm and festivity from decade after decade.
He said, Bangladesh is a shinning example of communal harmony in the global arena. “Tradition of this communal harmony would be upheld unitedly,” he said.
Professor Iajuddin hoped that the Durga puja would further strengthen the bond of friendship and harmony among all.
The President wished every success of the Durga Puja celebration.
