Jordan and UAE establish joint Ministerial Committee to enhance cooperation

Amman : Foreign Minister Salaheddin Al-Bashir has held discussions with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the latest developments on the Arab and regional levels as well as the joint Arab action.

They also discussed bilateral ties and means of bolstering them in the various fields for the benefit of the two nations.

They underlined the importance of continuing bilateral coordination and meetings to serve the Arab stances in the region as well as ensuring active Arabic contribution in solving the regional conflicts through diplomacy and peaceful means.

Bashir and Sheikh Abdullah signed an agreement establishing a joint ministerial committee to enhance cooperation between the two governments.

They also signed a memorandum of understanding exempting holder of diplomatic passports from entrance visa fees.

Sheikh Abdullah also called on Prime Minister Nadir Al Dahabi.

During the meeting, which was attended by Al-Bashir, Dahabi underlined Jordan’s keenness to further promote ties with the UAE to meet the ambitions of the leadership of the two countries.

Dahabi and Sheikh Abdullah discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the economic, trade and investment fields.

The prime minister was briefed by Sheikh Abdullah and Bashir on the agreement to form the joint ministerial committee, as well as its importance in promoting bilaterial ties in all spheres.
