New Delhi: Shaheen Bagh failed kidnapping case is revealing more questions than answers. Those who attempted to kidnap Amir last night and claimed to be UP police have left behind a number of IDs in different names.
Black Hyundai car with no license plates had many PAN cards, debit and credit cards, and photo ID cards belonging to different companies.
TwoCircles.net found three ID cards belonging to an IT company Steria. Headquartered in Paris, Steria employs 19,000 people in 16 countries including 5,000 in India, according to its website.
All three Steria ID cards have same name but two of them have different photo on the card. While two cards are identical in terms of name, photo, and the number on the card the third card has different photo and a different number.

All three cards are issued under the name of Harinder Singh but while two have number 1007015 and same picture, another bearing a different photo have number 1007342 on it.
TwoCircles.net contacted Steria’s Noida office and found that there is no one by that name who works there. Steria also confirmed that these numbers belong to ID of people with different names. Steria was able to confirm that there is one Harinder among their staff but his full name is Harinder Nagar.
If those who came in an unmarked car and with no police ID on them really belong to UP police then they have to explain why they had fake IDs with them.
A number of IDs in the unmarked car
The fake IDs, unnumbered car and the way they tried to pick the man have led to another theory among journalists and locals. They say their purpose was to carry out another encounter. After killing the man in an encounter they would declare him a terrorist who was driving an unnumbered car and fake IDs and explosives and was going to carry out blast.
