The border police in Rafah port allowed those people to go back to the Palestinian enclave blocked by Israel and Egypt since the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) took the power last June 2007.

According to sources that cited government security officials in Hamas the Egyptian authorities made an exception Thursday night and opened the only legal entrance in Egypt border area with the coast enclave.

About 500 Palestinians retained in Gaza Strip have threatened to protests if Egypt breaks his promise of allowing them to cross the way through Rafah, added reports.
