London : A British author and Middle East expert says the United States and Israel are the main supporters of the state-sponsored terrorism.
Alan Hart, the author of “Zionism: the Real Enemy of the Jews”, said on Saturday that the United States is supporting Israeli-sponsored terrorism in the Middle East so that the regime can simply ignore United Nations resolutions concerning the rights of the Palestinians.
Hart was making the comment during an international conference in London on “Terrorism: alternative global perspectives”.
“The world is poling apart. There is only one way to confront with the double standards of the West and that is informing people about the realities of the history,” he said.
Hart urged Muslims to stand against Islamophobia “which is currently spreading across the world”.
Referring to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and likening it to the British-Irish row, he said the British government settled the Scottish people in Northern Ireland to occupy it gradually.
“A similar situation exists in Palestine where the Jews are occupying Muslim lands,” he said, blaming Tony Blair’s foreign policy for spreading terrorism and extremism across the world.
Hart said Iran is a victim of collusion among regimes in Washington, London and Tel Aviv while “it is constantly targeted by the propaganda war of the US media”.
Also speaking in the conference, Professor Robert Crane, the former national security advisor to US president Richard Nixon, criticized the American-led concept of the war on terror.
Crane said Muslims should stand united against what he called “outsiders” in the Middle East, describing Bush administration as the “Great Satan”.
“Muslims want to become independent and this should not turn into an excuse [for certain powers] to attack them,” he said.
He noted that the US imperialism will one day come to an end as did the former Soviet Union.
Crane advised officials in the White House to change their policies from warmongering to moralities.
In other parts of his speech, he said Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been target of western propaganda since he came into office in 2005.
“It is his (Ahmadinejad’s) diligence in administering justice that is driving western governments crazy,” Crane said.
