Islamabad : At least eight people were killed and several others were wounded in yet another overnight US missile strike inside Pakistani bordering territory.
An unmanned US drone fireD two missiles early Thursday, hitting a Madrassah, a religious school, and an adjacent house in a small village about 6 kilometers from Miramshah, the main headquarters of North Waziristan tribal agency, bordering Afghanistan, security sources told KUNA.
They said the attack killed at least eight persons including foreign fighters. The sources said a wanted Al-Qaeda suspect was believed to have been killed in the attack.
The latest US air strike coincided with the holding of the joint session of the parliament, that got underway two weeks ago, to discuss government’s anti-terrorism strategy.
