Mumbai : Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), India’s largest fast moving consumer goods manufacturer, Friday posted a net profit of $121.46 million for its third quarter, marking a 34 percent growth over $90.6 million for the same quarter last fiscal.
The company, which is a subsidiary of the Anglo-Dutch major Unilever Plc, said its revenues rose from $748 million in third quarter of last fiscal to $895 million for the third quarter of 2008-09, a growth of 19.7 percent.
The net revenue from fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) rose 21.6 percent, while revenues from its food business rose 17.5 percent.
