By Xinhua,
Cairo : Senior leaders of two more Palestinian groups arrived in Cairo on Monday for talks with Egyptian mediators on means of ending the current inter-Palestinian crisis.
Secretary General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Nayif Hawatmah arrived here in the afternoon for the Palestinian reconciliation talks, the Egyptian MENA news agency reported.
Upon his arrival, Hawatmah said he will discuss with Egyptian officials situation in the Palestinian territories and means to end the Israeli blockade imposed on the Palestinian people.
The DFLP had presented a paper to Egyptian mediators on how to close Palestinian ranks and form a Palestinian national unity government, he added.
Earlier in the day, chief of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front Samir Ghawshah also arrived in the Egyptian capital for the Palestinian talks with Egyptian officials.
Ghawshah, who is expected to meet Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman on Sept. 2, said his group delivered to the Egyptian side a written reply on how to heal the Palestinian feud.
In the past week, Egyptian mediators led by Suleiman held bilateral talks with delegations of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine(PFLP).
Following the bilateral meetings, Egypt will then oversee a comprehensive Palestinian dialogue to help the Palestinians get out of the current crisis and rifts among rival movements, particularly between Fatah and Hamas.
In the past months, Egypt has been trying to broker a Palestinian reconciliation after it succeeded in brokering a ceasefire in June between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement which rules Gaza.
