Washington : Hurricane Ike represents Friday a serious treat for southern Florida state, while Tropical Storm Hanna is already approaching US territory.
According to a report from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Ike has maximum sustained winds of 127 mph and is a category-three hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale of five.
The storm is moving at 15 mph through the Atlantic Ocean and if it continues as expected, it could affect the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Hanna is moving near the southeastern US coast, and according to meteorologists, it could strengthen before touching land and become a hurricane today.
Hanna is moving to the northeast around 14 mph with intensive rains on North Bahamas and east of North and South Carolina, in United States.
The center of Storm Josephine is located far-off in Atlantic Ocean, and it is moving slowly with winds of 53mph. This system does not represent danger for any inhabited land.
