Mehdi Safari and William Hague discussed bilateral issues such as Britain recent decision to remove Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from the terrorist list as well as Iran’s former Ambassador to Jordan Nosratollah Tajik dossier in London.

Britain Appeals Court, in a surprising act and in spite of government opposition, ordered the name of MKO to be removed from terrorist list last May.

Safari by criticizing the prolongation of Tajik dossier procedure and by considering his innocence and his psychological and physical situation, called for prompt solution of the problem and release of Iran’s former diplomat.

Tajik was arrested two years ago in Britain upon FBI officers accusation of efforts to buy a night vision camera from a US middleman and the US Judiciary has called for his extradition to the United States of America.

In the meeting, the two officials also discussed Iran’s peaceful nuclear activity as well as regional issues such as cooperation in fight against drug smuggling, Iraq and Afghanistan situation.

Exchanging parliamentary delegations between the two countries was another issue which was discussed in the meeting as an appropriate act to increase mutual understanding between Iran and Britain.

Safari in his 3-day visit to London conferred with several high ranking officials of Britain.

He wrapped up his visit on Wednesday.
