Britain condemns Delhi blasts

London, Sep 14 (IANS) Britain has condemned Saturday’s bomb blasts in New Delhi, saying these will only serve to reinforce the “shared determination” of India and Britain to tackle violent extremism.

“Today’s indiscriminate bomb attacks in markets and shopping areas in New Delhi are a terrible reminder of the threat from violent extremism,” Foreign Secretary David Miliband said in a statement.

“I condemn unreservedly all such acts of indiscriminate terrorism.”

“My condolences and sympathies go out to all the victims and to all those families that have suffered today,” Miliband said.

“The UK and India are close partners, including in working together to counter the shared threat from terrorism,” his statement read.

“These horrific attacks will only serve to reinforce our shared determination to tackle violent extremism,” it added.
