Colombo : The Government, expressing sympathy to the victims of the series of terrorist bombings in New Delhi on Saturday (13th), pledged to stand in solidarity with all comprehensive measures taken by the Indian authorities to eradicate terrorism.
The full statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard is as follows:
It is with great distress that the Government and People of Sri Lanka have learned about series of terrorist bomb attacks in New Delhi last night resulting in loss of life and injury to innocent people.
Sri Lanka unequivocally condemns such barbaric acts of terrorism which can never be justified under any circumstance for whatever reason.
In this hour of grief, government and people of Sri Lanka stand by the people and the Government of India in sympathy with those who suffered as a result of indiscriminate terrorist bombing and stand in solidarity with all comprehensive measures that are being taken by authorities in India to eradicate terrorism.
