New Delhi: Taking the post-bombing scenario seriously when Muslims are being picked up indiscriminately, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) is going to call an urgent meeting of Muslim organizations.
Talking to TwoCircles.net at JIH headquarters, Mujtaba Farooque, JIH secretary for political affairs, said the situation has reached such stage where Muslims and their organizations cannot afford to be sit and watch. They will have to stand and chalk out a strategy to check on the anti-Muslim campaign by government agencies and media.
Soon after the Delhi serial bombings, the intelligence agencies and Anti-terrorism Squad launch a combing operation in the city particularly in Muslim areas.
In this move they arrested at least 10 people, two of them were from Jamia Nagar area.
On Sunday the ATS personnel picked up two Muslims Abdul Rasheed Agwan and Adnan Fahad from Abul Fazl Enclave area. After 10 hour of grilling they were released at midnight.
To take stock of the situation JIH is calling a meeting of Muslim organizations on Wednesday at JIH headquarters.
Meanwhile, Syed Imam Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, has also called for an all-party meeting of Muslim organizations to deliberate on the biased investigations into terrorist attacks.
