Sirsa (Haryana) : A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team Wednesday raided the properties of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and his family members in this Haryana district and checked their details against the revenue records.
The team’s visit from CBI’s Delhi headquarters was in connection with the case the agency registered in April 2006 against the Chautala family for amassing wealth much beyond their known sources of income.
The CBI has accused the Chautalas of possessing Rs.14 billion of unaccounted money.
The checking of revenue records will continue Thursday also, officials here said.
