According to Palestinian medical sources and eyewitnesses, the occupation forces opened fire at a group of citizens traveling near the Karni crossing in eastern Gaza, injuring scores of people.

They said that Palestinian ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the injured to Al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City for treatment.

An agreement for calm between the Palestinians and the Israelis is bound in the Gaza Strip since last June. It was brokered by Egypt.
