Kuwait : Kuwait will host a major international conference on alternative energy next year.
The conference on “Applications of Alternative Energy: A Choice or Necessity” will be organised by the Kuwait Society of Engineers, the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
KSE chairman Talal Al-Qahtani said the conference would discuss, among other issues, strategies and regulations for alternative energy, the right ways for using alternative energy, the relation between energy, the environment, and technology, renewable energy and sources of energy in the Middle East.
Around 4,000 participants from across the world are expected for the 2009 event.
