New Delhi : Cricket Australia (CA) Friday thanked Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) for the excellent hospitality and practice facilities provided to the visiting Australian team in Jaipur ahead of the Test series, starting in Bangalore Oct 9.
The Australian cricket team had Wednesday arrived in India amidst heavy security following the serial blasts that hit the capital days before their landing here.
“It is important for any touring cricket team to acclimatise to the conditions before a big series and we’re grateful to the Rajasthan Cricket Association for the hospitality they’ve extended to Australia and the high quality of the facilities on offer at RCA’s Academy in Jaipur.
“We look forward to extending the same courtesies to India when they next tour Australia as part of the successful and ongoing bilateral relationship between Cricket Australia and the BCCI,” Michael Brown, CA’s acting CEO, said in a statement.
CA’s Centre of Excellence in Brisbane, in recent years, has operated a reciprocal programme with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hosted a number of Border-Gavaskar scholars from India including RP Singh, VRV Singh, Virat Kohli, Ravi Teja and Suresh Raina.
