As per the media reports party general secretary Munaf Hakim who inaugurated the translated manifesto said, ‘We have done this so that those who know only Urdu may come to know what NCP has done for them and what it will do in future.’

Munaf claimed that the party manifesto has taken into account the issues of all deprived classes.

If seen from the eyes of a minority person the manifesto talks of the earliest implementation of the Sachar Committee recommendations, educational and job reservation for the weaker sections of the society, representation of minorities in government and semi-government institutions, 27% reservation for all the OBC students and higher education for them, scholarships for OBC, ST, SC students and employments for youths etc.

Mr. Munaf also maintained that Sharad Pawar besides supporting Muslims’ demand for reservation has struggled much for the implementation of the Sachar Committee report from the state to the centre.

NCP leader Sharad Pawar has been talking in Muslims’ tone for some months. He not only supported the demand of Muslims for reservation but also said that behind several blasts in the country there was RSS instead of Muslims.

But after the 22-26 seats tie-up between NCP and Congress for the total 48 Maharashtra seats, when it came to field Muslim candidates Pawar nominated only Azam Bansare form Hingoli constituency where Muslims are in minority.

On Wednesday, the Gujarati translation of the manifesto too was released. Earlier the Marathi, English and Hindi versions of the manifesto have been issued.
