The two divisional level cells – in the Kashmir Valley and the Jammu region – and a state level cell have been established for effective liaison between various agencies, an official statement said.

“Rapid Respond Teams (RRTs) have been constituted in each district of the state for dealing with any eventuality,” it said.

The RRTs have been trained by local resource persons from the department of epidemiology, directorate of health services, Kashmir and Jammu, divisions respectively.

Meanwhile, screening of all passengers arriving aboard international and national flights is been carried out at the Srinagar and Jammu airports.

Separate quarantine wards have been kept ready at the two airports and such kind of isolation facilities are also available at government hospitals.

Panic buttons were pressed in the state amid fears of the possibility of HINI outbreak because of the detection of four suspected flu infected students who came to Jammu from Bangalore.
